Traditional Stair Treads

• Water proofing sealant is only applied to the surface of the tread. This sealant wears down and allows moisture and melting compounds to work their way into the cement causing expansion and breakage.
• Standard imbeds and mounting plates will rust causing crumbling in the cement and eventually breakage of the tread.
• A standard cement mix (3500 psi).

Hardy Manufacturing Stair Treads

• We have the latest technology in cement that has been used in bridges, tunnels and dams and now in Hardy Stair Treads!
• Weather-resistant to the core. Our special concrete formulation and improved manufacturing process make our treads completely water proof. No moisture or melting compound can get in to cause expansion and breakage.
• Our imbeds and mounting plates resist rust and prevent cement from cracking and crumbling.
• Our tread mixture is consistent so every tread looks and performs excellent even in the harsh weather conditions known to Utah and Colorado.
• Impervious to salt & ice melting products. Salt will not break it down.
• We use a High Strength engineered composite mix (7200 psi).
